by Panshak Ibrahim

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has had its first taste of victory in this election period.

Through a court ruling, the opposition party has claimed the Niger East Senatorial Zone seat.

On Friday, January 30, Justice Ibrahim Bako of the Niger State High Court in Minna, declared David Umoru of APC winner of senatorial seat.

The APC candidate will now replace the former occupier of the seat, Nuhu Zagbayi of the ruling party, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)
