We love lace. Whether bohemian, table cloth, colored or lingerie inspired, we love it all. In Lanre da Silva Ajayi’s collection, we saw the luxe and the delicate, as she modernized perfectly constructed 1940s-inspired girlie pieces. Deola Sagoe brought romantic allure to the runway with lingerie inspired lace, indulging us with a show of skin, while color was added to the pack by House Of Nwocha, with a layered green dress that I know would suit women of fuller proportions. A few months before Lagos Fashion Week we sae Omowunmi Akinnifesi in a stunning red lace gown at The Future Awards 2011, and we’re looking forward to seeing more lace on red carpets soon!
