#AMAA2017: Because keeping to time is a myth in Nigeria, we bring you tonight’s latecomers

If Nigerians got paid to arrive at events on time, they’d still be late… just because punctuality is that one characteristic most of us do not (and may never) possess.

For factors including “traffic was mad”, “my make-up artist didn’t arrive on time”, “I tried on 8 dresses before I settled for this”, “na my guy I dey chill for”, “I left my invite at home and had to turn back to get it”, “I took the wrong turn”, “it took my wife ages to finally get dressed” and every other possible excuse in the book, we totally understand the life of a latecomer.

While we can give credit to the likes of Olu Jacobs, Saheed Balogun and Sambasa Nzeribe who made it to the venue hours before it started, here’s a list of celebs who arrived late to the 13th edition of the Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA) currently holding at the Eko Convention Centre, Lagos.

Stephanie Linus shared this photo at past 10pm with the caption “Heading to the #amaa #award”. Her excuse for lateness is not farfetched…she looks amazing
Muyiwa Ademola spent so much time taking photos in his striped traditional attire. He ended up sharing four and we’re not surprised he’s late for the event.
Dayo Amusa was nowhere near the event venue from what we see in this photo so we doubt she made in time for the show.
Big Brother Naija fake housemate, Ese Eriata did show up very late
At the time we sighted her fellow Big Brother housemates, Kemen and ThinTallTony, Bisola was not yet at the event and we get why. She looks hot in the red number.
