Angry officials of the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has finally bared their mind as regards their colleague that was beaten two weeks ago and are protesting the attack and have barricaded the headquarters of the agency in Lagos shutting out other users of the complex.

According to PremiumTimes, a witness said that activities at the FAAN headquarters have been grounded by the protesting workers.

He said the protesters were headed towards the international wing of the airport, and they seem to have planned their protest to coincide with the visit of the Minister of Aviation, Osita Chidoka, who is attending a function at the international wing of the airport this morning.

“The minister of Aviation just arrived at the international wing of the airport for a function and the protesters are heading their as I speak now,” the witness said.

It would be recalled that two officers of the Nigerian Air Force, charged with controlling traffic at the departure section of the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos beat, the FAAN staff, Mohammed Shuaibu, to stupor stating that he broke the rule.

Shuaibu is still receiving treatment for the injury incurred from the brutal assault.
