Y! Scoop: ‘A trip to Jamaica’ is not sequel to ’30 days in Atlanta’ – AY

Following the box-office success of 30 days in Atlanta, ace comedian, Ayo Makun popularly known as AY, has revealed that there will be a sequel to the movie.

Speaking to YNaija at the world premiere of Fifty over the weekend, the actor made it clear that contrary to reports, A Trip to Jamaica is not the sequel to 30 days in Atlanta.

AY however, said that the Nollywood blockbuster would definitely get a sequel.

He said: “What we have done is not a sequel, we have done a completely different movie. It’s titled ‘A Trip to Jamaica’. The sequel to 30 days in Atlanta is coming subsequently but what we have coming in 2016 is ‘A Trip to Jamaica”.

The actor/comedian went on to expatiate on what the new movie is all about.

“It’s a romantic comedy. It promises to be fun and way better than 30 days and people should look out for it.”

The comedian also said that the movie would feature a collaboration between Nollywood, Hollywood and the Jamaican movie industry.

AY and wife

AY who was with his spouse, Mabel Makun at the premiere weighed in on life as a married entertainer.

He said: “Having somebody in your life in the capacity of your wife is an ordained position, ordained union and that forms the pillar so if you mess with it you are just going to break up in no time.”
