The world loved Muhammad Ali, the legendary boxing icon who died on Saturday, at the age of 74.

He was a fast, smooth talker who can outwit even the most gifted orator.

Ali was intelligent, witty, tongue-in-cheek and had a knack for using extremely exaggerated metaphors to intimidate and cower his opponents.

Indeed he was loved, respected, admired and revered.
