The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has said 257 Nigerians voluntarily returned from Libya on Tuesday.

The returnees were received by some officials of NEMA at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos.

They were assisted back home by the International Organisation for Migration,

Zonal Coordinator of NEMA South-West, Suleiman Yakubu said they indicated interest to return home after failed attempts to cross to Europe.

He said the Italian government provided the aircraft while the European Union would provide reintegration.

“Our youths need to embrace the change mantra of the Federal Government rather than seeking greener pastures where they don’t exist,” he said.
